“National Children’s Month in the New Normal”

National Children’s Month is a celebration where people around the world celebrate the rights of children every year, with each theme different than the last. It is always celebrated on the month of November. Before the “New Normal” became the new normal, people would celebrate the month with many activities that represent the current theme of the year. But ever since the COVID-19 virus came into the country, things have changed. Because of what COVID-19 brought to the world, it wasn’t safe for children anymore to go outside and attend school face-to-face. And so Dep-Ed proposed Online Classes for all school districts in the nation. And this posed a problem for families already suffering from poverty because they don’t have the means to do Online Classes. And so in this Blog, I will be talking about this month’s theme, the affects of COVID to children, and how they can be protected.

Every time on National Children’s Month, it is celebrated by doing activities to promote the importance of their roles as children and their rights. During this celebration, it covers a different category of children’s right every week with the first being survival rights, second being development rights, participation rights on the third, and protection rights on the fourth. They also celebrate this month by doing conferences on Parenting and making play activities for children. But because of the Pandemic, these won’t be possible without a chance of getting affected by the virus. If they do these activities during the pandemic, they can get sick and might possibly lose their lives because of the symptoms of the virus. Which is why the Department of Education will follow health protocols and protect the children from the virus by using digital means to do said activities so that they don’t have to get out of their homes and risk themselves of getting sick. This will be done with the use of social media, broadcasting, and the internet to celebrate the National Children’s Month.

In conclusion, National Children’s Month is celebrated to promote children’s right by doing activities such as creating play activities for children, doing conferences and discussing the rights of children. But because of the Pandemic, these won’t be possible without risking the children from getting sick. Which is why the Department of Education will do these activities through digital means. This will be done by using the internet, social media, and broadcasting. That way, everyone, including the children, won’t get sick and possibly die from COVID. That is all for this blog! Thank you for reading the whole thing if you did. This is Zuirch signing of, buh-bye!

  1. I agree that the Children's Month Celebration is important so that children can be aware of their rights and roles, but I also think it's a good way to give everyone out the message that the youth is the hope of our nation. And so children must be treated right and be guided into the right path, a bright and promising future.

Children should receive guide, help and support from others so they won't stray on a path they might regret, but rather follow a path that will benefit them and their surroundings in the future.

  4. I definitely agree that the National Children's Month is really an important event for the youth. The future is in the hands of the next generation, and because of that, the adults must be aware enough and consider their child's rights to guide them properly in order for them to be the best version of themselves and soon benefit the country.

  7. Indeed, Children’s month is an important event for everyone as we focus on not only helping children but also informing both children and adult about children’s rights. Every child deserves to receive their rights as this will develop them, and in turn will benefit our country and its people in the future. Children are the future, so it is important that we must treat, guide, and provide for them in order for them to grow beautifully.
